Assia Fiorillo is finalist @ Amnesty Int. Italy_Contest "VxL - Voci per la Libertà" (Voices x Freedom)

Singer/song writer from Napoli, Assia Fiorillo has been nominated among the finalists, classified herself in the rose of the best 5 nomenees (this year all women) in the singing competition Voci Per la Libertà - A song for Amnesty - Emerging Artists session - and won a special price by "Viva la Radio! Network".

The live concerts kermesse and music contest dedicated to Human Rights has taken place from July 31 through to August the 2nd 2020 in the outdoor esplanade of the Congress Centre in the seaside resort Rosolina Mare (Rovigo, Italy).

Special anti-Covid measures have been taken to allow people to join the 3-days contest via a pre-registration procedure with a limited quota of seats. Every spectator had to notify personal data like e-mail & handyphone that were double checked even on the spot crossing the pieces of info already given online. This applied even the minors and all have been located respecting the distancing restrictions: every seat had in fact a space all around of 2mts, righft, left, in front & in the back.

Frequent kiosks for hands disinfection were scattered in the area that, anyway, was open-air and more easy to be handled in comparison with an indoor premise or theatre.

As per what declared the organizers, no special seats have been reserved to the press & photoreporters that, either were lucky to find an entrance ticket during the online pre-registration or, had to queue to eventually get a last minute seat.

We have been attending the contest nontheless as could get some entrance tickets online but no badge or anything was attributed to let the audience understand the reasons of our movements around the stage. This would have disconforted even the most patient journalists and we believe only the passion for music could drive us this time to attend the contest, even fronting a little risk of contagiation!

By chance or by intuition, our music critique education draw us to interview, film & photograph the right artists and therefore we are back with good illustrating material that we produced by concentrating us with the winner of the emerging artist session ( H.E.R.), the prized singer by the public (Adriana Iè), the prized band by the Independent Music Collective Mei Musplan (Ennesimo Piano B) and also a one woman show, singer & song writer, capable to play all the instruments for the orchestration of her music composition (Micaela Tempesta).

Of course we have much appreciated & filmed a great guest star (Marina REI) as well as the absolute winner of the Big Stars Session (Nicolò Fabi) prized for the lyrics of his song "Io sono l'altro" (I am the other) from his recently recorded album "Tradizione e Tradimento" (Tradition & Betray).

Both artists have generously performed half a concert each, with the consequent enthusiasm of the audience.

Coming back to one of the 5 finalists in the Emerging Artists session, Assia Fiorillo has sung with a fine patronage of the stage with a clear harmonious voice which really never needs to forcedly scream as made of little hues, refined harmonics, strong touching words...

Assia is not new at Amnesty International Italy as she took part in the kermesse already few other times being the frontwoman of another band, made all by women, called "Mujeres Creando" from Napoli.

It's been a big affirmation for her artistical carreer this year. She has been portrayed in a docufilm at the national RAI Tv for having composed this song in hommage to the women that are in detention in 2 jails that she has visited & where she got inspired to compose her song.

The live music video with this important song is being premiering on Youtube this weeek round. Enjoy good music & very important lyrics Assia composed on the terrible theme of the sorrows many women, especially in depressed environments, go through, in society & in the troubles with justice & politcs...Especially the women that suffer from not being economically independent & feel obliged to break the socially & politically correct rules in order to overcome & let their children survive.

*** From the song : *** " Fault: wear my shoes & then you'll see how to hold this heavy weight while still standing...  And if I undress, you'll count my scars and bruises that I will not hide. Instead, they'll help me remember while healing. And if I see you, child girl aged 9, who are already on the road, then I am You. Love in begging, weeping without tears..."(...)

The theme on disrespect, abuse & violence against women is also choosen by Amnesty for all the forthcoming year & is being followed up by ongoing petitions and appeals on & offline.

Music composition: Io sono te · written by Assia Fiorillo · Amalia De Simone

Album: Io sono te ℗ Assia Fiorillo Released on: 2020-07-03

Label: Believe Music

Being the lyrics so important and meaningful, it has been done an extra effort in the music live video: Italian language syncronized lyrics have been added at the player, so it is possible to have a translation of the song in any foreign languages.

Watching this video on Youtube, will lead you directly to the entire playlist of songs

recorded during Voci per la Libertà / Una canzone per Amnesty in the different yearly editions.

(It's a compilation in progress and new music videos are frequently added).

IO SONO TE (I am You) - Lyrics -

(Assia Fiorillo · Amalia De Simone)

Buio.

l'amore in elemosina piangeva senza pianto

Cifre.

l'amore in elemosina piangeva senza pianto

Sbarre.

HER wins "A song for Amnesty-Voices for Freedom" with the song "Il mondo non cambia mai"

H.E.R. Singer & violinist is the winner of "Voices x Freedom / A song for Amnesty” 2020, 23rd edition, session Emerging musicians which took place from July 31 through to August 2nd.

The contest is dedicated to music & human rights. H.E.R. in her live performance presented the song “Il mondo non cambia mai” (World never changes) against any form of racism and discrimination.

©White ANGEL Photography H.E.R.
HER  Ph. ©White ANGEL

HER introduced herself in front of the audience very smartly & clearly with just two short sentences:

“My song refers to the difficulties of my condition: in the world there are two kinds of women, those who were born females and those who have passed and become females. I belong to this second category".

Gifted of a clear pure voice, capable of a large tonal extension, not at all artefacted but, instead, spontaneus & touching the cords of emotions & deep feelings, sometimes revealing past sorrows, she appeared secure & timid at the same time. Perfect metrics in the rap passages, with interesting lyrics, fine articulation always very understandable with no flaws.

Either than the beautiful pure voice, #HER has been much liked for her spontaneity in dancing & overall manners, never pretending to forcedly amplifying or imitating the fake feminine stereotypes in which no modern woman would recognize herself. A slight awkwardness in movements on both stage & backstage made her instantly sympathetic.

A private dialoge with her revealed purity in soul & true feminine identity besides her good true human essence. For all these reasons, among the 5 women finalists of the contest "A song for Amnesty - Voci per la Libertà" (Voices for Freedom), she has been my choice, hoping but definitely not knowing that she would have won!

In the limited time photographers & photoreportes have in-between the various performances, we have the opportunity to decide to interview or portrait very few artists. Being in this occasion an independent photoreporter for Good &no-profit, I have full arbitrate to decide whom to photograph & interview. Therefore, I concetrated the attention on HER and asked to portrait this great artist singer & violinist in a short shooting that took place in the conference hall of the Inside Theatre of the Congress & Exhibition Center, seat of the live concerts kermesse & contest in Rosolina Mare, on the upper East side of Italy, Venetian Region. She graciously accepted my proposal & in few minutes we scored a cute lil shooting that I faded in my video at the end of the live song recording. The 2nd part of my video is dedicated to the official proclamation & prizing HER as absolute winner of this competition, for the emerging artists session, showing Amnesty International Italy's President Emanuele Russo handing her the important Award.

H.E.R. won also an additional prize “Noise Simphony Indieffusion” by an independent records label which every year rewards the most promising artist at this event, offering the opportunity to the winner to produce a new EP album.

Her first album is called “Violins”. The 2nd whole album containing the new song in Italian language entitled “Il mondo non cambia mai” (World never changes), accordingly to her producer #GianniTesta whom I shortly interviewed, will be ready after next September, the time when another important competition “MusiCultura” will take place in Italy. HER received the nomination to partake among the 16 finalists.

Wishing her the best success for the next soon contest, I may dedicate to Her (!) my music video. There is a slight delay in tuning as I preferred to record it keeping the acoustic quality at the highest possible level & the motions suffer a little of the heavy weight of the tuning. This is also worsened by the setting of the laudspeakers & boosters right in front of the photographers setting that provoke a sort of echo delaying a little the returnal of music in front of the audience. On the other hand, at the outdoor esplanade where live concerts take place, the acoustic is particularly fine without big distortion or dispersions. This allows to turn rather good videos even without particularly sophisticated means.

The winning song by HER video will premièring on Youtube tonight Sunday 9th of August at 10pm Italian time (+2 Gre. time). It's my pleasure to publish it in preview on this portal "Musica TuttoDisco" specialized on quality music.

There it is:

My channel is not monetized &, since I turn my video as no-profit products of my intellectual efforts & music passion, by all means you can add them at your playlists or share them in whichevever social networks, provided you credit me & my Youtube channel as videomaker & that you also credit the name of artists hosted in my videos as long as you respect the capitulate of educational no-profit videos & don't commit errors on copyrights infringements. More songs & artist musicians are yet to come in my Yoube channel AllrightheANGEL soon soon...Enjoy the good vibes!

Hanno scritto: Michele Lionello, Riccardo Noury, Giovanni Stefani, Paolo Pobbiati, Marta Dolcetto, Antonio Marchesi, Daniele Silvestri, Ivano Fossati, Modena City Ramblers, Paola Turci, Carmen Consoli, Simone Cristicchi, Enzo Avitabile, Mannarino, Edoardo Bennato, Nada Malanima, Perturbazione, Piotta, The Sun, Diodato, Mirella Zambello, Daniele Grossato, Annita Cecchetto, Patrizia Vita, Elisa Orlandotti, Savino Zaba, Giordano Sangiorgi, Giò Alajmo, Enrico Rigolin, Silva Rotelli, Melania Ruggini, Zentequerente, Marco Cortesi, Alberto Gambato e Laura Fasolin, Natalino Balasso, Versi Banditi, Sungift, Nuovi Orizzonti Artificiali, Riserva Moac, 'A67, Mud, Piccola Orchestra Karasciò, Leo Miglioranza, Andrea Dodicianni, Marmaja, Anna Luppi, Les Fleurs des Maladives, Adolfo Durante, Golaseca, Riky Anelli, Do'Storieski, Carlo Valente, Elisa Erin Bonomo, Amarcord, Nevruz, Tukurù.
